- Employee groups allow you to generate data entry default values, for example, for the payroll accounting area or an employee’s basic pay.
- Employee groups serve as selection criteria for reporting.
- Employee groups constitute an authorization check unit.
Steps to Define Employee Groups in SAP
SAP R/3 IMG Path : - SPRO >> Enterprise Structure >> Definition >> Human Resources Management >> Define Employee Groups
Step 1 :- Follow the above menu path and click “Define Employee Groups”
Step 2 :- Double click on Employee groups and click on “New Entries”
Step 3 :- In next screen enter the employee group key and description
Step 4 :- Click on save icon to save the entries.
