This SAP article will guide you all about “How to Assign sales organization – distribution channel – plant in SAP” step by step with screenshots. Use this step to assign any number of plants to a combination of sales organization and distribution channel. A plant can be assigned more than once.

Requirements :- You define the combination of sales organizations and distribution channels in IMG activity “Assign distribution channels – sales organizations”. These combinations are then automatically proposed as defaults for maintenance.

Actions :- Assign the plants to the combination of sales organization/distribution channel.

Steps to Assign sales organization – distribution channel – plant in SAP

Step 1 :- Access the transaction by using the following navigation method

• SAP IMG Path: SPRO > IMG > Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Sales & Distribution > Assign Sales organization/Distribution channel to Plant

Step 2 :- On the change view “assignment sales organization /distribution channel -plan, select new entries

Step 3 :- On new entries: overview of added entries screen, enter the following fields.

1. Enter sales organization key in sales org field


2. Enter distribution channel in the dchcust/mt field


3. Enter plant code in the plant field

Step 4 :- Click on save icon to save the data.
