This SAP article will guide you all about “How to Create Organizational Unit in SAP” step by step with screenshots. This transaction code “PPOCE” allows to create root organizational unit.


Use :- You create organizational units to create an organizational structure.
Prerequisites :- You must first have created a root organizational unit. For more information, see Creating Objects and Organizational Units. You are familiar with Validity Select a key date and preview period.


Steps to Create Organizational Unit in SAP


 


SAP Menu: - Human resources > Organizational Management > Organizational plan >Organization & staffing > Create


Transaction code: - PPOCE


Step 1 : - Enter transaction code: – PPOCE” in the SAP command field and press enter in keyboard.

Step 2 : - In next screen you are asked to update the organizational valid period, by default the date will be as creating date of organizational unit and valid up to 31.12.9999. Click on check mark to continue.

Step 3 : - In next screen, the new organizational unit is displayed in both overview. In details screen update the details of new organizational unit.

Step 4 : - Click on account assignment and update the controlling area, cost center, business area, company code, personnel area and personnel sub area fields.

Step 5 : - Click on save button to save the configured new organizational unit.
